Surprisingly good...
at first you have no sympathy with the »Jerk« but after a while you see he is just a victim of his environment...

Old fashioned horror at its best...
This is my type of horror film, spooky lots of scary moments (brilliant editing) a beleivable storyline and open ended. I had to watch a rerun of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno before I could go to bed...

WATCH OUT! SHE'S BEHIND YOU!

Great remake of a remake...
It was expected that Chris Rock would be funny in this role, but bringing me to tears with emotion was not on the agenda. Maybe I am depressed and just needed to cry, but the way the relationships and situations go from standup to sit-com to parody to sarcasm and then love story, heart-ache and finally... well watch the film yourself, well recommended.

One for the wife...
my wife rented this one, I liked the story but found the dialog dated (Duh! old film) didn't finish watching but the wife gave it two thumbs up...

Brutal...
this is not Denzel Washinton in his squeeky clean hero role and Ethan Hawke's dirty innocence shines through. Filmed in the real »projects« and using real people as extras, the reality of LA is presented in all its glory. Agian this movie shows how power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutly...

Sunday atfernoon fantasy...
Great fantasy with a good twist. Very well done special effects and quite believeable characters. Matt Damon is Matt Damon as always but Heath Ledger plays a great »absent minded professor«. Watch out for the trees...

Read the book...
If you just watch the film then I think somthing is missing. You need to read the book first and then the film is OK. It may be better to read the book after and this will explain the film, yes, I think this way is better...

One of my favs
I have seen this film 100,000 times and it is still great. I was in Britain in the 1980's and this film showed us how to »shotgun« the can of beer and how credit cards can open all doors. Fantastic teen acting by John Cusack and a great performance by Daphne Zuniga (who went on to do Spaceballs) and you can never get the picture of Nicolette Sheridan begging »Gib« for just one more time... try to rent »Once Bitten« early teen movie with Jim Carrey I think the German title is »Einmal beißen bitte«. These two films will change you life »so FU@K OFF...«

The extras are a must
Michael Caine in one of his most surprising roles as a French Nazi collaborator on the run. Based on a true event and with the wonderful backdrop of rural France, this makes up for all his »Alfie« films.

Even though the DVD was scratched in places... you could follow
The idea is not new but very well done. The DVD was not the best quality but with the same story being told from many angles allows you to catch up. All the parts were well played and some surprising casting allows you to see behind the Hollyweed typecasting movies. Pen an paper needed to follow the plot.

Hard but good
This is no holds barred, in your face and real. The »Stars« queued up to do this one and I can see why. Racism is really in the mind of the beholder. The twists and turns of this story always seem to end up at the same place. L.A. Crash could be anywhere and probably is...

Disgustingly true, I hope not!
If this is based on truth then we should no longer save the planet. We should get rid of the cancer which is humanity. Let the Earth revert to its normal state of either iceball or fireball and see what the next »intelligent« species comes up with.
If you are looking for hardcore action and super heroes then don't rent this film.
Somewhere in the middle is where you need to be, and of course a Nicolas Cage fan (let's go storm his castle)

Norton - surprise?
Great film with realistic poker (Malkovich intentionally hams it up a bit). No surprise Damon is himself and Norton adds another character to his list. Texas Hold'em fever all round.
