Der Millionen Dollar Coup: Spezialagent Lam (Tony Leung Chiu-Wai) wird vom japanischem Geheimdienst beauftragt, gegen eine Belohnung von 30 Millionen Dollar eine Bande von Geldfälschern dingfest zu machen und die heiß begehrten Druckplatten der Polizei zu übergeben. Bei diesem gefährlichen Einsatz begegnet Lam der attraktiven und sehr gerissenen Diebin JJ (Shu Qi), die ihr eigenes Ziel verfolgt und Lam hinterhältig auf's Kreuz legen möchte. Nachdem Lam die Druckplatten in seinen Besitz bringen kann, durchschaut er JJs falsches Spiel und führt sie auf eine falsche Fährte. Lam ahnt nicht, dass er schon im Fadenkreuz ganz anderer Gangster steht...

The Million Dollar Coup: Special Agent Lam (Tony Leung Chiu-Wai) is commissioned by the Japanese secret service to arrest a gang of counterfeiters in exchange for a reward of 30 million dollars and hand over the highly coveted printing plates to the police. During this dangerous mission, Lam meets the attractive and very cunning thief JJ (Shu Qi), who is pursuing her own goal and wants to sneakily put Lam on the cross. After Lam is able to get hold of the printing plates, he sees through JJ's foul play and leads her on the wrong track. Lam has no idea that he is already in the crosshairs of completely different gangsters...
