Als Maxine (Eva Tavares), eine Freundin aus Kindheitstagen nun ebenfalls den Mann fürs Leben vor den Altar führen möchte, lässt sich Cate nicht zweimal bitten, ihr zur Seite zu stehen. Während sie also vor dem großen Ereignis alle möglichen Katastrophen in Maxines Leben aus dem Weg schafft, findet Cate wenig Zeit dafür, mit ihren eigenen Gefühlen ins Reine zu kommen - immerhin hat Langzeitfreund Ben sie gerade so gründlich missverstanden, dass er ihrer beider Beziehung vorerst 'pausiert'. Cate (Tori Anderson) is a real specialist when it comes to weddings: Not only does she earn her living by writing about the most beautiful details from the haven of love in glossy magazines, but she also likes to be active herself as an unbeatably well-organized bridesmaid for friends and acquaintances.
