Ein unerwarteter Rückschlag zwingt Alice (Yota Argyropoulou) und Petros (Dimitris Lalos), ein Ehepaar in ihren 30ern, Athen zu verlassen und mit ihrem Sohn in die griechische Provinz zu ziehen. Alice nimmt einen Pflegejob an und Petros wird als Hausmeister in einer luxuriösen Villa angestellt. Ihre Aushilfsjobs sehen sie als vorübergehend, als Teil des Plans für ihr Comeback in der Großstadt. Doch ihr kleines Apartment erscheint dem Paar mit jedem Tag noch enger und ihr ländliches Zuhause wie ein Gefängnis. Sie ersehnen sich einen Ausweg. Nicht nur ihr Sohn ist von der großen Villa angetan. Immer öfter besucht Alice Petros bei seiner Arbeit dort. Allmählich wird die Gewohnheit zur Sucht, und sobald die vielbeschäftigte Eigentümerin verreist ist, verwandelt sich die Villa für die Familie in einen Raum voller Fantasie, Erfüllung und Hoffnung. Doch während Alice zunehmend die Illusion erkennt, bemerkt sie auch, wie Petros' dunkle Seite mehr und mehr zum Vorschein kommt...

An unexpected setback forces Alice (Yota Argyropoulou) and Petros (Dimitris Lalos), a couple in their 30s, to leave Athens and move to the Greek province with their son. Alice takes a nursing job and Petros is hired as a caretaker in a luxurious villa. They see their temporary jobs as temporary, as part of the plan for their comeback in the big city. But their small apartment seems even tighter to the couple with each passing day and their rural home like a prison. They long for a way out. Not only her son is taken with the large villa.
