Eine ganz alltägliche Szene: Ein Mensch ruft seinen Hund: 'Komm!'. Doch dieser ignoriert den Befehl völlig und schlendert gemütlich herum. Der Mensch wird energischer: 'Komm her, sofort, bei Fuß!'. Doch der Hund tut, als hätte er nichts gehört und blickt in eine andere Richtung. Schließlich brüllt der Mensch seinen Hund an. Als Antwort hebt dieser demonstrativ sein Bein - und das heißt in der Hundesprache: "Ich zeige Dir den Stinkefinger". Ganz klar: Hier stimmt die Kommunikation nicht. Ein typischer Fall für Martin Rütter! Denn der Tierpsychologe versteht die Sprache der Hunde, hat viel Verständnis für die Probleme der Besitzer und hilft bei der Übersetzung. In der zweiten Staffel von 'Eine Couch für alle Felle' gibt es ein Wiedersehen mit alten Bekannten: Bettina Böttinger will ihrer Rauhaardackeldame Nicki jetzt das Cabrio-Fahren schmackhaft machen, Dobermann Bill tanzt Ehepaar Heinrichs immer noch auf dem Kopf herum und die scheue Chow-Chow-Hündin Acani lernt, Vertrauen zu ihrer Besitzerin zu haben. Auch Familie Clemens, die ihre Yorkshire-Terrier am liebsten auf einer Couch knuddelt, ist wieder dabei. Zu den neuen Fellen gehören u.a. Mischling Laura, der sich daran gewöhnen muss, dass bald ein Baby zur Familie gehört, Boxer Bosco, der Briefträger hasst, sieben Australien Shepards, die sich immer wieder wilde Beißereien liefern, Familie Lederer-Hartel, die ihre fünf ausgewachsenen Rottweiler sogar mit in den Swimming-Pool nimmt und Hundefriseurin Petra Pürling, die ihren Lieblings Charly einer "Schock-Therapie" unterziehen muss.

A very everyday scene: A person calls his dog: 'Come!'. But he completely ignores the order and strolls around comfortably. People become more energetic: 'Come here, immediately, on foot!'. But the dog acts as if he hadn't heard anything and looks in a different direction. After all, the human yells at his dog. In response, he demonstratively raises his leg - and that means in dog language: "I'll show you the stinky finger". Clearly, the communication is not right here. A typical case for Martin Rütter! Because the animal psychologist understands the language of the dogs, has a lot of understanding for the problems of the owners and helps with the translation. In the second season of 'A Couch for All Skins' there is a reunion with old acquaintances: Bettina Böttinger now wants to make driving a convertible palatable to her wire-haired dachshund lady Nicki, Doberman Bill is still dancing on the heads of the Heinrichs and the shy Chow Chow Acani is learning to trust her owner. The Clemens family, who prefer to cuddle their Yorkshire terriers on a couch, is also there again. The new skins include mongrel Laura, who has to get used to the fact that a baby will soon be part of the family, boxer Bosco, who hates postmen, seven Australian Shepards, who repeatedly have wild bites, the Lederer-Hartel family, who even takes their five adult Rottweilers into the swimming pool, and dog groomer Petra Pürling, who has to subject her darling Charly to "shock therapy".
