Die junge Journalistin Claire (Lucía Gómez-Robledo) möchte eigentlich am liebsten ihren eigenen Food-Blog 'Cultural Eats' groß herausbringen, aber die Chefin des Online-Magazins, für das sie als Texterin arbeitet, sieht Claires Zukunft nach wie vor in der Erstellung alberner Quizbeiträge. Frustriert von der beruflichen Sackgasse und niedergeschlagen vom kurz darauf gezogenen Schlussstrich unter ihre derzeitige Beziehung, braucht Claire dringend eine Auszeit, und bucht kurz entschlossen einen Urlaub an der mexikanischen Pazifikküste. Dort, am Mariposa-Beach, hat ihre verstorbene Mutter einst scheinbar glückliche Tage verbracht, und auf den Spuren ihrer Erinnerungen will Claire der Vergangenheit näherkommen. Vor Ort freundet sie sich nicht nur schnell mit der schlagfertigen Hotelmanagerin Esmeralda (Carolina Thomas) und dem alten Gastwirt Juan (Luis Gatica) an, der mehr über ihre Mutter weiß, als er zugibt, sondern rasselt auch ziemlich mit dem frechen Koch Antonio (Miguel Brocca) zusammen, den sie zuerst überhaupt nicht ausstehen kann. Doch dann stellt sich heraus, dass Antonio über bemerkenswerte Talente - nicht nur am Herd - verfügt und schon bald machen seine himmlischen Kreationen Claires Foodblog zum absoluten Online-Überflieger. Davon hält Antonio allerdings recht wenig und Claire, die sich mehr und mehr zu ihm hingezogen fühlt, muss sich so langsam entscheiden, wo ihre Prioritäten liegen...

The young journalist Claire (Lucía Gómez-Robledo) would actually like to make her own food blog 'Cultural Eats' big, but the boss of the online magazine for which she works as a copywriter still sees Claire's future in creating silly quiz contributions. Frustrated by the professional impasse and depressed by the end of her current relationship, Claire urgently needs a break and decides to book a vacation on the Mexican Pacific coast. There, on Mariposa Beach, her deceased mother once spent seemingly happy days, and Claire wants to get closer to the past on the trail of her memories. On site, she not only quickly makes friends with the quick-witted hotel manager Esmeralda (Carolina Thomas) and the old innkeeper Juan (Luis Gatica), who knows more about her mother than he admits, but also clashes quite a bit with the cheeky chef Antonio (Miguel Brocca), whom she can't stand at first. But then it turns out that Antonio has remarkable talents - not only at the stove - and soon his heavenly creations make Claire's food blog an absolute online high-flyer. Antonio, however, thinks very little of this and Claire, who feels more and more attracted to him, slowly has to decide where her priorities lie...
