'Der Elefantenmensch', 'Blue Velvet') im 'Mayan Theatre' in Los Angeles, mit den Special-Guests Mark Ronson, Kelis, Gerard Way aus der Band 'My Chemical Romance' und Beth Ditto von 'Gossip', ist der Film eine Multimedia-Erfahrung, die das Publikum mit nimmt auf eine filmische Reise mit einer der erfolgreichsten Pop-Rockbands des Planeten. In just one evening, 'Duran Duran' conquered the stage in Los Angeles with a legendary performance, frontman Simon Le Bon together with some of the greatest in music history. Shot by award-winning filmmaker David Lynch ('The Elephant Man', 'Blue Velvet', among others) at the Mayan Theatre in Los Angeles, with special guests Mark Ronson, Kelis, Gerard Way from the band 'My Chemical Romance' and Beth Ditto from 'Gossip', the film is a multimedia experience that takes the audience on a cinematic journey with one of the most successful pop-rock bands on the planet. "The idea was to try to create layers of images at the same time as the stage performance of 'Duran Duran'," explains director Lynch. "A world of experiments and happy coincidences." Le Bon, singer of the band, adds: "We were all more than delighted that David Lynch agreed to shoot this show for us, and we knew he would create something that looks like nothing you've seen before." Although they are known for their epic productions and groundbreaking stage sets and shows, this is only the second time the band has filmed one of their concerts in great HD image and sound during their three-decade career.
