'Weil du nur einmal lebst' begleitet die Toten Hosen 2018 auf ihrer Rekordtournee 'Laune der Natour' und zeigt eine Band, die jeden Tag schätzt, an dem sie noch gemeinsam auf der Bühne mit dieser unglaublichen Energie der ersten Stunde spielen können. Die Konzertreise, die von insgesamt fast 1 Million Zuschauern besucht wurde, führte die Band unter anderem durch die Stadien und Open-Air-Locations in Deutschland und der Schweiz sowie nach Argentinien, wo die 'Toten Hosen' seit 26 Jahren die enthusiastischsten und treuesten Fans außerhalb des deutschsprachigen Raums haben. 'Die Toten Hosen' sind ein Phänomen. Anfang der 1980er Jahre in einer brodelnden Düsseldorfer Szene aus der Punk-Bewegung entstanden, füllen ihre Konzerte seit vielen Jahren große Hallen und Stadien. Selbst wer kein ausgewiesener Fan der Band ist, kann viele ihrer Lieder mitsingen. Und dabei haben sich Campino, Breiti, Kuddel, Andi und der später hinzugekommene Vom immer ihre Haltung bewahrt. Eine Einstellung, die den Punk- Ethos widerspiegelt - stets mit einer starken Meinung zu gesellschaftlichen Entwicklungen, die sie öffentlich kundtun. Ohne zu leugnen, dass Musik auch ein Geschäft ist. Die Filmemacher Cordula Kablitz-Post und Paul Dugdale waren 2018 mit den 'Hosen' auf Tour. Kablitz-Post entwickelte das Konzept, filmte die Hintergrundgeschichten und führte die Interviews, während Dugdale die Shows dokumentierte. Zusammen zeigen diese sehr persönlichen Bilder von 'Weil du nur einmal lebst - Die Toten Hosen auf Tour' (2019) das Phänomen 'Hosen', das sich die Band womöglich selbst nicht so ganz erklären kann.

The concert tour, which was attended by a total of almost 1 million spectators, took the band through the stadiums and open-air locations in Germany and Switzerland as well as to Argentina, where the 'Toten Hosen' have had the most enthusiastic and loyal fans outside the German-speaking world for 26 years. 'Die Toten Hosen' are a phenomenon. Originating from the punk movement in the early 1980s in a seething Düsseldorf scene, their concerts have been filling large halls and stadiums for many years. Even if you are not a proven fan of the band, you can sing along to many of their songs. And Campino, Breiti, Kuddel, Andi and Vom who joined later have always kept their composure. An attitude that reflects the punk ethos - always with a strong opinion on social developments that they publicly announce. Without denying that music is also a business. The filmmakers Cordula Kablitz-Post and Paul Dugdale were on tour with the 'Hosen' in 2018.
