Der Spatz vom Wallrafplatz

A cheeky sparrow with Berlin ancestors nests on a plane tree on Cologne's Wallrafplatz, not far from the WDR broadcasting house. From there, he goes on excursions to all kinds of interesting places and people to take a closer look at them for the children. In this way, the cheeky Piepmatz experiences many an adventure and learns a lot. Conceived by Armin Maiwald ('Die Sendung mit der Maus', 'Robbi, Tobbi und das Fliewatüüt') and puppeteer Rudolf Fischer, who also lent his voice to the sparrow.

All 32 surviving episodes of the series, which originally consisted of 36 episodes, are available on DVD for the first time:
