Doch der Überlebenskampf in der selbstgewählten Freiheit ist hart. Nachdem sie sich als Messehostess und Verkäuferin durchgeschlagen hat, entpuppt sich auch der Aufstieg zur Assistentin eines Kunsthistorikers als Fehlschlag, denn ihr neuer Chef erwartet sexuelle Gefälligkeiten. But the fight for survival in the self-chosen freedom is hard. After she has made a living as a fair hostess and saleswoman, her rise to assistant to an art historian also turns out to be a failure, because her new boss expects sexual favors. Those around her react to her striving for emancipation with incomprehension and, to make matters worse, her ex-husband wants to have Elisabeth deprived of custody of her son...
