Nacktsein ist eine Lebenseinstellung. Seit im Frankreich des 18. Jahrhunderts erstmals die Rückbesinnung auf die Natürlichkeit des Nacktseins erfolgte, gewann die Bewegung der Nudisten eine immer größer werdende Anhängerschaft. 1993 machte sich der Regisseur Robert Salis erstmals auf, um diese Menschen und ihre Motive mit der Kamera festzuhalten. Dabei ist eine wunderschöne Hommage an die Freizügigkeit entstanden, ohne anzügliche oder gar drastische Absichten dahinter. Nun ist Robert Salis noch einmal an die alten Schauplätze zurückgekehrt, um zu erfahren, wie sich das Bild der Nudisten in der Öffentlichkeit gewandelt hat. Interviews und kleine Dokumentationen geben einen Einblick in die Welt der Nudisten. Gefühlvoll, stilsicher und niemals aufdringlich, so dass den Protagonisten ihre selbstgewählte Freiheit zu keiner Zeit zum Verhängnis wird. Im Gegenteil, es sind ganz besondere Menschen, die sich hier vor der Kamera einfinden. Ihr Stolz und ihre Verbundenheit zur Natur und vor allem zu sich, zeichnen ein Bild jenseits aller Klischees.

Being naked is a way of life. Since the return to the naturalness of nudity took place for the first time in France in the 18th century, the nudist movement gained an ever-growing following. In 1993, director Robert Salis set out for the first time to capture these people and their motives with his camera. The result is a beautiful homage to permissiveness, without suggestive or even drastic intentions behind it. Now Robert Salis has returned to the old locations once again to find out how the public image of nudists has changed. Interviews and small documentaries give an insight into the world of nudists. Emotional, stylish and never intrusive, so that the protagonists' self-chosen freedom never becomes their undoing. On the contrary, they are very special people who are here in front of the camera. Their pride and their attachment to nature and above all to themselves paint a picture beyond all clichés.
