Lauren (Jenna Laurenzo) and Hailey (Caitlin Mehner) are as in love as they were on the first day and lead a romantic life in Brooklyn. The intimate togetherness is almost perfect, even their roommate Austin (Brandon Micheal Hall) can't shake it. Only one thing is still pending, as the icing on the cake of their shared happiness: coming out in front of Lauren's family. And it's high time for that, because Lauren's mother finally wants to get to know her daughter's 'boyfriend'. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, Lauren finally plucks up the courage to introduce Hailey to her family, but easier said than done. Because as is so common at family celebrations, chaos is somehow inevitable. Austin shows up at the party and is mistaken for Lauren's boyfriend, and Lauren's brother flirts heavily with Hailey. With increasing misunderstandings, the simmering tension between Lauren and Hailey becomes literally tangible...
