'Die Böhms - Architektur einer Familie' ist ein deutscher Dokumentarfilm von Maurizius Staerkle-Drux aus dem Jahr 2014. Für die Filmarbeiten lebte der Regisseur länger als zwei Jahre mit der Familie Böhm in Köln zusammen. Der Film zeichnet ein ebenso intimes wie prägnantes Familienportrait und erzählt von der Komplexität und Untrennbarkeit von Leben, Liebe, Glauben und (Bau-)Kunst. Beim Internationalen Leipziger Festival für Dokumentar- und Animationsfilm 2014 wurde der Film mit dem Preis des Goethe-Instituts ausgezeichnet.

As the former offspring of a church builder, he is now the patriarch of an architectural dynasty that also includes his sons Stephan, Peter and Paul. They succeeded in stepping out of the shadow of their famous father with outstanding large buildings. Last but not least, the crisis in the construction industry in Germany is fueling competition among the brothers. When Gottfried's wife Elisabeth, also an architect, who suffers from dementia, dies, the family loses its emotional centre and its main source of inspiration. 'The Böhms - Architecture of a Family' is a 2014 German documentary film directed by Maurizius Staerkle-Drux. For the film work, the director lived with the Böhm family in Cologne for more than two years. The film draws an intimate and concise family portrait and tells of the complexity and inseparability of life, love, faith and (building) art. At the 2014 International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film, the film was awarded the Goethe-Institut Prize.
