Regisseur und Autor Christian Heynen macht sich dafür auf die Reise quer durch Deutschland. Sein Ziel: All die Thomas Müller, die dem Durchschnitt ein Gesicht geben. Der Dokumentarfilm 'Wer ist Thomas Müller?' setzt da an, wo die Statistiken enden: bei realen Individuen, die zwar den Namen Thomas Müller tragen, aber doch alle nicht wirklich dem Durchschnittsdeutschen entsprechen. Weil es so viele Thomas Müller gibt - gleich mehrere zehntausend sind es in Deutschland - wollen wir Christian unterstützen. Während er unterwegs ist, und noch lange danach, machen wir uns im Netz auf die Jagd und brauchen dabei jede Menge Hilfe. Ob mit Diskussionen, in Fotos und Filmen, bei Spielen oder bei Aktionen im echten Leben wollen wir erfahren, was eigentlich 'Deutsch' bedeutet und wie viel Thomas Müller in jedem einzelnen von uns schlummert. Director and author Christian Heynen sets off on a journey across Germany. His goal: all the Thomas Müllers who give the average a face. The documentary 'Who is Thomas Müller?' starts where the statistics end: with real individuals who bear the name Thomas Müller, but none of whom really correspond to the average German. Because there are so many Thomas Müllers - there are several tens of thousands in Germany - we want to support Christian.
