Dazu haben sie einen unbändigen Optimismus, dieses Leben selbst gestalten zu können, mit und durch ihre Musik. Als 'Guaia Guaia' ziehen sie mit selbstgebauten Fahrrädern von Stadt zu Stadt und locken mit lauten, illegalen Konzerten Fans und Polizisten an. Der Film 'Unplugged - Leben Guaia Guaia' von Sobo Swobodnik begleitet die beiden Straßenmusiker ein Jahr lang bei ihrer Tour durch Deutschland, zwischen Auftritten und der Suche nach einer Unterkunft. Er ist das Porträt zweier junger Männer, die sich mit dem Etikett männlich, arbeitslos, ostdeutsch und perspektivlos nicht abfinden wollen und stattdessen ihren eigenen Weg gehen. Dabei geraten sie immer wieder ins Spannungsfeld zwischen ihren Idealen und der Gesellschaft, in der Geschäft und Erfolg zählen.

They are young, they are intelligent, they are hungry, for life, for music, for a future far away from the bourgeois imagination. In addition, they have an irrepressible optimism to be able to shape this life themselves, with and through their music. As 'Guaia Guaia', they move from city to city on self-made bicycles and attract fans and police officers with loud, illegal concerts. The film 'Unplugged - Leben Guaia Guaia' by Sobo Swobodnik accompanies the two street musicians for a year on their tour through Germany, between performances and the search for accommodation. It is the portrait of two young men who do not want to resign themselves to the label of male, unemployed, East German and without prospects and instead go their own way. In the process, they repeatedly find themselves in the field of tension between their ideals and society, in which business and success count.
