Die 13-jährige Clara (Ricarda Zimmerer) zieht mit ihrer Mutter zu ihrem Stiefvater in ein kleines Bergdorf in den Schweizer Alpen. Clara liebt die Natur und Streifzüge durch die Berge. Sie ist sehr naturverbunden und daher stört es sie wenig, dass die Dorfbewohner mit der Familie nichts zu tun haben wollen. Auch in der Schule hat das sensible Mädchen keine Freunde. Nur Thomas, ebenfalls ein 'Neuer aus der Stadt', steht zu ihr. Als Clara eines Tages auf einer Waldwiese einen kleinen Bären entdeckt, überschlagen sich plötzlich die Ereignisse: Kann es ein Junges der Bärenmutter Zelda sein, die vor ein paar Jahren von Wilderern geschossen wurde? Warum verbreitet sich das Gerücht über die Rückkehr der Bären im Dorf wie ein Lauffeuer? Clara ahnt, dass sie einem riesigen Geheimnis auf der Spur ist, das weit in die Vergangenheit reicht. Zusammen mit Thomas versucht Clara die mysteriöse Dorfgeschichte zu ergründen und gerät dabei immer tiefer in ein rätselhaftes Abenteuer...
Seit der Uraufführung im Wettbewerb des 'LUCAS', dem 35. Internationalen Kinderfilmfestivals in Frankfurt am Main, wurde die Abenteuergeschichte u.a. beim 'FIFEM' (dem 'Festival International du Film pour Enfants de Montreal') mit dem Hauptpreis der Kinderjury ausgezeichnet und erhielt beim 'Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival' in Estland eine 'Lobende Erwähnung'. 2013 war der Film auch beim 53. 'Zlín Film Festival - International Film Festival for Children and Youth in the Czech Republic' zu sehen und am 6. Juni 2013 kam der Abenteuerfilm für die ganze Familie deutschlandweit in die Kinos. In 'Clara und das Geheimnis der Bären' kombiniert Regisseur Tobias Ineichen ('Jimmie', 'Tatort: Schneetreiben') gekonnt wunderschöne Tier- und Naturbilder mit spannenden, mysteriösen und verträumten Elementen zu einem packenden Abenteuerfilm. Hauptdarstellerin Ricarda Zimmerer ('Hanni & Nanni', 'Neben meinem Bruder') beeindruckt mit einer enormen Präsenz. Nach zwei Jahren der Suche wurde sie als perfekte Besetzung bei einem Casting in Berlin entdeckt.

13-year-old Clara (Ricarda Zimmerer) moves with her mother to live with her stepfather in a small mountain village in the Swiss Alps. Clara loves nature and forays through the mountains. She is very close to nature and therefore it doesn't bother her much that the villagers don't want to have anything to do with the family. The sensitive girl also has no friends at school. Only Thomas, also a 'newcomer from the city', stands by her. When Clara discovers a little bear in a forest meadow one day, events suddenly come thick and fast: Could it be a cub of the bear mother Zelda, who was shot by poachers a few years ago? Why is the rumor about the return of the bears spreading like wildfire in the village? Clara suspects that she is on the trail of a huge secret that reaches far into the past. Together with Thomas, Clara tries to fathom the mysterious village history and gets deeper and deeper into a mysterious adventure...
Since its premiere in competition at the 'LUCAS', the 35th International Children's Film Festival in Frankfurt am Main, the adventure story has been awarded the main prize of the children's jury at the 'FIFEM' (the 'Festival International du Film pour Enfants de Montreal') and received an 'Honourable Mention' at the 'Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival' in Estonia. In 2013, the film was also shown at the 53rd 'Zlín Film Festival - International Film Festival for Children and Youth in the Czech Republic' and on June 6, 2013, the adventure film for the whole family was released in cinemas throughout Germany. In 'Clara and the Secret of the Bears', director Tobias Ineichen ('Jimmie', 'Tatort: Schneetreiben') skilfully combines beautiful animal and nature images with exciting, mysterious and dreamy elements to create a gripping adventure film. Leading actress Ricarda Zimmerer ('Hanni & Nanni', 'Next to My Brother') impresses with an enormous presence. After two years of searching, she was discovered as the perfect cast at a casting in Berlin.
