Die junge Studentin Danielle (Shannon Lucio aus 'O.C. California') stielt sich mit zwei Freundinnen davon, um in Florida am Spring-Break, der größten Party ihres Lebens, teilzunehmen. Ihr Bruder Charlie (Wayne Thornley), der dort als Meeresbiologe arbeitet, warnt die Mädchen vor äußerst aggressiven Tigerhaien, die in einem künstlich geschaffenen Riff in der Nähe leben. Young student Danielle (Shannon Lucio from 'O.C. California') steals away with two friends to take part in spring break, the biggest party of her life, in Florida. Her brother Charlie (Wayne Thornley), who works there as a marine biologist, warns the girls about extremely aggressive tiger sharks that live in an artificially created reef nearby. But all warnings are forgotten when they go on a night boat trip with the attractive Shane (Riley Smith, 'Arac Attack'), who runs his mother Mary's (Kathy Baker, 'Cold Mountain', 'Picket Fences') boat rental. Soon they are attacked by the dangerous beasts and only narrowly escape. It quickly becomes clear that the animals were lured to the beach with blood. But why did someone come up with such a cruel plan? And how can the catastrophe be prevented? A breathless race against death begins.
