Inspektor Siddharth Mehra (Emran Hashmi) ist ein unbestechlicher Polizist in Goa. Doch seine berufliche Aufopferung geht soweit, dass er seine Frau Sonia (Shamita Shetty) vernachlässigt. Sie verlässt ihn und erzählt ihm kurz zuvor, dass sie abgetrieben hat. Seither ist Siddharth ein nachdenklicher Mensch und damit leichte Beute für die schöne Anna (Udita Goswami). Siddharth hilft ihr eines Nachts nach Hause und wird von ihr verführt. Siddharth bereut die Kurz-Affäre schnell, doch so ganz kann er nicht von Anna lassen - zumal in ihm der Beschützerinstinkt geweckt wird: Ihr Gatte Sean (Sameer Kochhar) verprügelt sie regelmässig. Und so geht die Affäre weiter, bis Anna zu ihrem Doktor gerufen wird. Der erklärt ihr, sie sei schwanger von Siddharth. Noch schlimmer: Sie leide an Krebs im Endstadium. Nur eine teure Operation in Mumbai könne sie retten. Um diese zu finanzieren, plündert Siddharth den Safe mit beschlagnahmtem Drogengeld. Kurz darauf brennt Annas Haus ab. Sie und ihr Mann sterben den Flammentod. Die Ermittlungen in dem Fall führt ausgerechnet Sonia. Während Siddharth alle Spuren verwischen muss, die zu ihm führen, spürt Sonia, dass ihr Noch-Gatte etwas verheimlich.

Inspector Siddharth Mehra (Emran Hashmi) is an incorruptible policeman in Goa. But his professional sacrifice goes so far that he neglects his wife Sonia (Shamita Shetty). She leaves him and tells him shortly before that she has had an abortion. Since then, Siddharth has been a thoughtful person and thus easy prey for the beautiful Anna (Udita Goswami). Siddharth helps her home one night and is seduced by her. Siddharth quickly regrets the Kurz affair, but he can't let go of Anna completely - especially since the protective instinct is awakened in him: Her husband Sean (Sameer Kochhar) regularly beats her up. And so the affair goes on until Anna is called to her doctor. He explains to her that she is pregnant by Siddharth. Even worse: she suffers from terminal cancer. Only an expensive operation in Mumbai could save them. To finance it, Siddharth plunders the safe with confiscated drug money. Shortly afterwards, Anna's house burns down. She and her husband die of flames. The investigation in the case is led by Sonia, of all people. While Siddharth has to cover up all traces that lead to him, Sonia senses that her still-husband is hiding something.
