Dieses audio-visuelle, sinnliche 360-Grad-Erlebnis zeigte die Band weltweit auf über 200 Konzert-Bühnen. Die Show verführt das Publikum mit großflächigen Images auf riesigen, transparenten Bildschirmen, die vor den Musikern installiert sind. Das Publikum schreit vor Begeisterung, als ob es gerade Zeuge eines perfekten Striptease wurde. Prisca Lobjoy, Art Direktorin und Videokünstlerin für Gotan Projects 'Ya Basta! Label' schuf alle Video-Bilder, die während der beeindruckenden Live-Show von 'Gotan Project' zu sehen sind. Konsequenterweise entwickelte sie aus der Live-Show heraus die Idee eines abendfüllenden Films, 'La Revancha del Tango Live'. Der Film wurde im Dezember 2003 im Forum in London während der gleichnamigen Tour aufgenommen. Aufgelockert durch Archivaufnahmen und zeitgenössisches Filmmaterial, wird der intuitive Schnitt des Films durch den sinnlichen Rhythmus des Tango bestimmt. Die überaus sensible Balance zwischen Image und Musik in 'La Revancha del Tango Live' verzaubert den Betrachter. Ein Film, der weit über das gewohnte Bild einer Konzertaufnahme hinausgeht. Gotan Project wurden in Paris gegründet, als argentinische Musiker sich mit Zauberern europäischer, elektronischer Musik zusammentaten um einen neuen, aufregenden Sound zu kreieren. Der Sound von Gotan Project ist heute weltbekannt, u.a. in Argentinien, der Heimat des Tango. Die Images auf dieser DVD sind für jeden Gotan Project-Fan ein Muss. Colorful lights shine through a rain-soaked windshield. The heat of the tropical storm steams off the road as the car rummages through the urban traffic. A lonely woman stands in a ring of fire. Horses run feverishly in circles. We are in constant motion. No words, no story. Only free floating. The only thing that counts is feel, hear, see: this is 'La Revancha del Tango Live', the live show of 'Gotan Project'. The band showed this audio-visual, sensual 360-degree experience on over 200 concert stages worldwide. The show seduces the audience with large-scale images on huge, transparent screens installed in front of the musicians. As the concert progresses, the screen falls like a curtain (or like a beautiful woman's dress), and the musicians come to the fore. The audience screams with enthusiasm as if they have just witnessed a perfect striptease. Prisca Lobjoy, Art Director and Video Artist for Gotan Projects 'Ya Basta! Label' created all the video images that can be seen during the impressive live show of 'Gotan Project'. Consequently, she developed the idea of a feature-length film from the live show, 'La Revancha del Tango Live'. The film was recorded in December 2003 at the Forum in London during the tour of the same name. Loosened up by archive footage and contemporary film material, the intuitive editing of the film is determined by the sensual rhythm of the tango. The extremely sensitive balance between image and music in 'La Revancha del Tango Live' enchants the viewer. A film that goes far beyond the usual image of a concert recording. Gotan Project was founded in Paris when Argentine musicians teamed up with magicians of European electronic music to create a new, exciting sound.
