The 70's Soul Jam

Für eine euphorisch gefeierte US-Tour schlossen sich 2001 neun Bands zusammen, die in den siebziger Jahren die Soul-Szene beherrschten: Harold Melvin & The Blues Notes, The Stylistics, The Dramatics, The Delfonics, Cuba Gooding und The Chi-Lites. Natürlich nicht mehr in der Besetzung von damals, aber genügend Originalmusiker sorgen in jeder Formation dafür, dass der Sound gigantischer Hits wie 'If You Don’t Know Me By Now', 'You Are Everything', 'Have You Seen Her', 'Just Don’t Want To Be Lonely', 'In the Rain' oder 'Everybody Plays the Fool' erhalten bleibt. Mitgeschnitten wurde die Show für die DVD 'The 70's Soul Jam - Live from the Palace Theater' in New Haven, Connecticut. Nicht nur dort infizierte soviel geballtes Hitfieber das Publikum, auch beim Ansehen der DVD kommen Freunde von Soul- und Philly-Sound voll auf ihre Kosten. Wer will, der darf auf jeden Einzeltitel gezielt zugreifen, oder sich nach dem schweißtreibenden Konzert eine bunte Dia-Show anschauen.
