Diese DVD zeigt Jimi Hendrix mit seiner weltbekannten Performance 'Live at Woodstock' 1969. Im Gegensatz zu der Original VHS von 1994 und der späteren DVD, die nur 57 Minuten von Jimi Hendrixs Auftritt beim Woodstock Festival zeigen, wurde nun das gesamte Filmmaterial, das von Jimis legendären Auftritts existiert, mühevoll restauriert und neu editiert! Hierdurch konnten viele Szenen wieder hergestellt werden und sind nun erstmalig zu sehen! Das Ergebnis ist eine Frame-by-Frame-Digitalrestauration, die Jimi Hendrix detailliert und in Farbe zeigt.

This DVD shows Jimi Hendrix with his world-famous performance 'Live at Woodstock' in 1969. In contrast to the original VHS from 1994 and the later DVD, which show only 57 minutes of Jimi Hendrix's performance at the Woodstock Festival, all the footage that exists of Jimi's legendary performance has now been painstakingly restored and re-edited! As a result, many scenes could be restored and can now be seen for the first time! The result is a frame-by-frame digital restoration that shows Jimi Hendrix in detail and in color.

As an addition, this DVD contains a variety of bonus material. For example, a documentary 'The Road to Woostock', a press conference that Jimi held two weeks after Woodstock at Frank's restaurant in Harlem, interviews with band members who review their shared journey, an interview with sound engineer Eddie Kramer, who talks in detail about the entire recordings of the legendary festival and, as a highlight, 'A Second Look', where never-before-seen black-and-white footage of Jimi's performance at Woodstock was presented with an alternative film. Camera shot is combined in color. 'A Second Look' also features footage of 'Hear My Train A Comin' for the first time, the performance of which was forgotten to be recorded by the film crew and is now premiering due to alternative footage.
