Es ist Liebe auf den ersten Blick, als sich Lisa (Ani Karseladze) und Giorgi (Giorgi Bochorishvili) in der georgischen Stadt 'Kutaissi' für einen kurzen Moment begegnen. Die Liebe erwischt sie so plötzlich, dass sie sogar vergessen, sich gegenseitig ihre Namen zu verraten. Bevor sie beide wieder ihrer Wege gehen, vereinbaren sie, sich am nächsten Tag zu treffen. Doch die beiden ahnen nicht, dass sie einem Fluch zum Opfer fallen. Gelingt es ihnen, sich wiederzusehen? Und falls es ihnen gelingt, werden sie sich wiedererkennen? Das Leben in der Stadt geht währenddessen weiter, die Straßenhunde streunen herum, die Fußballweltmeisterschaft beginnt und eine Filmcrew, die sich der Aufgabe verschrieben hat, die wahre Liebe zu finden, könnte Lisas und Giorgis Rettung sein...
Alexandre Koberidzes 'Was sehen wir, wenn wir zum Himmel schauen?' (2021), sein zweiter Spielfilm nach 'Lass den Sommer nie wieder kommen (2017), feierte seine Weltpremiere im Internationalen Wettbewerb der 71. Berlinale 2021 und wurde dort mit dem FIPRESCI-Preis ausgezeichnet. Es folgten zahlreiche internationale Festivalauftritte, am Jahresende 2021 wurde 'Was sehen wir...' von vielen internationalen Publikationen zu einem der besten Filme das Jahres gewählt, u. a. von 'Sight & Sound', 'Film Comment', 'Cinema Scope', 'Slate' und 'The Hollywood Reporter'.

It is love at first sight when Lisa (Ani Karseladze) and Giorgi (Giorgi Bochorishvili) meet for a brief moment in the Georgian city of 'Kutaisi'. Love catches them so suddenly that they even forget to reveal their names to each other. Before they both go their separate ways again, they agree to meet the next day. But the two have no idea that they are falling victim to a curse. Will they succeed in seeing each other again? And if they succeed, will they recognize themselves? Meanwhile, life in the city continues, the street dogs roam around, the World Cup begins and a film crew dedicated to finding true love could be Lisa and Giorgi's salvation...
Alexandre Koberidzes 'What do we see when we look at the sky?' (2021), his second feature film after 'Lass den Sommer nie wieder kommen' (2017), celebrated its world premiere in the International Competition of the 71st Berlinale 2021, where it was awarded the FIPRESCI Prize. Numerous international festival appearances followed, and at the end of 2021 'What do we see...' Voted one of the best films of the year by many international publications, including 'Sight & Sound', 'Film Comment', 'Cinema Scope', 'Slate' and 'The Hollywood Reporter'.
