'We Are All Detroit' depicts the explosive developments of two cities on different continents and the effects on the people living there. There is one important thing in common between the two very different cities - Bochum, the city in the Ruhr area, and Detroit, the city in the 'Rust Belt': The car industry has shaped both Detroit and Bochum. And both the beginning and the end of the car industry in Bochum were sealed in Detroit. After the end of the industrial age, people here and there are looking for a new identity...
