Schule war gestern, Leben ist jetzt! Alex (Wolke Hegenbarth) hat es endlich geschafft: Die Schule ist vorbei, vor ihr liegt ein Leben als Studentin in Freiheit und Unabhängigkeit - vor allem ohne Claudia (Nora Binder), die ihren Studienplatz in Heidelberg bekommen hat. Doch natürlich kommt alles ganz anders. Claudia steht ganz unerwartet wieder vor der Tür, da sie (leider) doch einen Studienplatz in Köln bekommen hat. Alex lässt sich davon nicht abschrecken und lebt ihr Studentenleben voll und ganz aus, obwohl sie noch gar nicht weiß, was sie eigentlich studieren will. Von 'A' wie Agrarwissenschaft bis 'Z' wie Zahnmedizin ist irgendwie alles ebenso möglich wie gleichgültig, was Alex im Vorlesungsverzeichnis über den Weg läuft. Der Paartherapeut der Eltern Anke (Maren Kroymann) und Hendrik (Gottfried Vollmer) ist unterdessen endgültig der Meinung, dass genug geredet wurde, und erklärt die Therapie für beendet. Niko (Sebastian Kroehnert) stürzt sich in Schulden und kauft die Videothek - fortan 'Nikothek' genannt. Und Alex' kleiner Bruder Sebastian (Frederik Hunschede) hat alle Hände voll zu tun - die Damenwelt liegt ihm zu Füßen.

School was yesterday, life is now! Alex (Wolke Hegenbarth) has finally made it: school is over, and a life as a student in freedom and independence lies ahead of her - especially without Claudia (Nora Binder), who has been given her place to study in Heidelberg. But of course, everything turns out quite differently. Claudia unexpectedly shows up at the door again, as she (unfortunately) got a place to study in Cologne after all. Alex is not deterred by this and lives her student life to the fullest, although she does not yet know what she actually wants to study. From 'A' for agricultural science to 'Z' for dentistry, everything is somehow just as possible as it is indifferent to what Alex comes across in the course catalogue. Meanwhile, the couples therapist of the parents Anke (Maren Kroymann) and Hendrik (Gottfried Vollmer) is finally of the opinion that enough has been said and declares the therapy over. Niko (Sebastian Kroehnert) plunges into debt and buys the video store - henceforth called 'Nikothek'. And Alex's little brother Sebastian (Frederik Hunschede) has his hands full - the ladies are at his feet.
