Sie ist die letzte reinrassige Vampirin und soll, als Schulmädchen verkleidet, die Ursache der Dämonenplage herausfinden, die Bestien vernichten und so ihre Schreckensherrschaft beenden, bevor es zu spät ist...
'Blood - The Last Vampire' ist die erste vollständig digital produzierte Animation. Der preisgekrönte Film entstand nach einer Idee des namhaften Regisseurs Mamoru Oshii unter der Regie von Hiroyuki Kitakubo und wurde von 'Production I.G' (siehe 'Ghost in the Shell', 'Neon Genesis Evangelion' und 'Kill Bill Vol. 1') produziert.
In the fall of 1966, the mood at the U.S. Air Force base in Japan was extremely tense. After a mysterious series of suicides in the neighboring Japanese city, the military compound is haunted by sinister forces: vampires. A team of government agents in charge of eliminating vampires sends a mysterious young woman named Saya to the base. She is the last purebred vampire and, disguised as a schoolgirl, is supposed to find out the cause of the demon plague, destroy the beasts and thus end her reign of terror before it is too late...
