Das New-Port-Jazz-Festival ist legendär, weil sich dort Legenden begegnen und andere wiederum zu Legenden werden. Hochkarätige Künstler wie Frank Zappa, Duke Ellington, Quincy Jones, Ray Charles, Miles Davis, Muddy Waters u.v.a., haben sich in der Geschichte des New Port Jazz Festivals die Klinke in die Hand gegeben und für viele war dieses Festival ein Meilenstein ihrer Karriere, so auch für Muddy Waters. Die 'Muddy Waters Classic Concerts' DVD beginnt mit genau einem dieser hochkarätigen Ereignisse, dem New-Port-Jazz-Festival aus dem Jahre 1960. Während fünf großartiger Songs, darunter auch 'Got My Mojo Working', 'Rollin' Stone' und 'Mean Mistreater' kann man sich von seinem herausstechenden Talent als Bluesmusiker überzeugen. Der zweite Konzertklassiker ist eine wahre Rarität aus dem Jahre 1968. Gezeigt wird das komplette Set seines Auftritts auf dem Copenhagen-Jazz-Festival, welches seit 37 Jahren mit Songs wie 'I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man', 'Long Distance Call', 'Tiger In Your Tank' und fünf weiteren Songs, in dänischen "Schatzkammern" schlummerte. Das dritte Konzert ist das komplette Set des Molde-Jazz-Festival im Jahre 1977 in Norwegen. Hierauf befinden sich Schmuckstücke wie 'Baby Please Don't Go','Can't Get No Grindin', 'Prison Bound Blues' und vier weitere Songs.
