Für Fans des Rockabilly war 2004 die Sensation perfekt: Für eine Europatournee reformierten sich die legendären 'Stray Cats' neu und lieferten 17 Konzerte lang den reinen Geist des Rock'n'Roll in die Metropolen. In Originalbesetzung auf der Bühne ist Frontmann Brian Setzer natürlich Star der Formation, dennoch sind seine Mitstreiter Lee Rocker und Slim Jim Phantom nicht zu unterschätzende Motoren dieser einmaligen Tour, bei der alle Konzerte mitgeschnitten und als limitierte Auflagen erhältlich gemacht wurden. Das Konzert im Londoner Stadtteil 'Brixton' war von vorneherein das Juwel in der Sammlung. Hier wurde der Aufwand im Vorfeld deutlich erhöht, nicht nur dass man in der alten Heimat seine Aufwartung machte, sondern man wollte den Auftritt im perfektem Maße wiedergeben. Mit mehreren Kameras wurde das Bühnengeschehen eindrucksvoll eingefangen und die Tonaufnahme mit mobilem Studio erfasst. Auch nahm man sich hier Zeit die Aufnahme klangtechnisch auf höchstem Standard abzumischen und das Bildmaterial künstlerisch zu editieren.

For fans of rockabilly, the sensation was perfect in 2004: For a European tour, the legendary 'Stray Cats' reformed themselves anew and delivered the pure spirit of rock'n'roll to the metropolises for 17 concerts. In the original line-up on stage, frontman Brian Setzer is of course the star of the formation, but his comrades-in-arms Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom are not to be underestimated engines of this unique tour, where all concerts were recorded and made available as limited editions. The concert in the London district of 'Brixton' was the jewel in the collection from the outset. Here, the effort was significantly increased in advance, not only did they pay their respects in their old homeland, but they wanted to reproduce the performance to the perfect extent. The stage action was impressively captured with several cameras and the sound recording was recorded with a mobile studio. They also took the time to mix the recording to the highest standard in terms of sound technology and to edit the image material artistically.
