1999 feierten 'Yes' ihr 30-jähriges Bestehen mit besonderen Projekten. Sie zelebrierten das runde Jubiläum mit der Studioplatte 'The Ladder', gingen anschließend auf Tournee durch kleine, intime Clubs, produzierten unterwegs eine Doppel-CD mit Live-Aufnahmen und zeichneten auch noch einen Abend der Konzertreise mit Kameras auf. Dieser Filmmitschnitt, Ende Oktober 1999 im 'House Of Blues' in Las Vegas entstanden, präsentiert die englische Band in glänzender Feiertagsstimmung. Sie spielt hier zunächst einmal einige Titel von 'The Ladder' mit der Virtuosität, für die die Gruppe seit mehreren Dekaden gerühmt wird. So gibt es zum Beispiel das epische 'Homeworld', 'Face to Face', 'It Will Be A Good Day (The River)' und 'Lightning Strikes' in glänzenden Bühnenfassungen zu erleben. Daneben versammelt das Programm der Progrocker zahlreiche Hits aus allen Phasen ihrer Karriere. Mit 'Time and a Word', 'Your Move', 'I've Seen All Good People' sowie 'Perpetual Change' (viel bluesiger als im Original) sind Frühwerke von 1970/71 zu erleben. Der Welthit 'Roundabout', der 'Yes' 1972 zum Durchbruch in Amerika verhalf und mit seinem sphärischen Space-Sound Generationen nachfolgender Musiker beeinflusste, stammt ursprünglich vom Album 'Fragile'. Und die Mitsing-Melodie von 'Owner of a Lonely Heart' war zuerst auf '90125' zu hören. All diese Klassiker trägt die Band so frisch und unverbraucht vor, als wären sie gestern erst komponiert worden.

In 1999, 'Yes' celebrated their 30th anniversary with special projects. They celebrated the round anniversary with the studio album 'The Ladder', then went on tour through small, intimate clubs, produced a double CD with live recordings on the way and also recorded an evening of the concert tour with cameras. This film recording, made at the end of October 1999 in the 'House Of Blues' in Las Vegas, presents the English band in a brilliant holiday mood. First of all, she plays some titles of 'The Ladder' with the virtuosity for which the group has been praised for several decades. For example, the epic 'Homeworld', 'Face to Face', 'It Will Be A Good Day (The River)' and 'Lightning Strikes' can be experienced in brilliant stage versions. In addition, the program of the prog rockers brings together numerous hits from all phases of their career. With 'Time and a Word', 'Your Move', 'I've Seen All Good People' and 'Perpetual Change' (much more bluesy than in the original), early works from 1970/71 can be experienced. The world hit 'Roundabout', which helped 'Yes' break through in America in 1972 and influenced generations of subsequent musicians with its spherical space sound, originally comes from the album 'Fragile'. And the sing-along melody of 'Owner of a Lonely Heart' was first heard on '90125'. The band performs all these classics as fresh and unspent as if they had been composed yesterday.
