Die von den Jugendfreunden gegründeten irischen Band 'Thin Lizzy' gelang mit der rockigen Interpretation des Traditionals 'Whiskey in the Jar' gleich zu Beginn ihrer Karriere ein Welterfolg. Der Aufstieg von 'Thin Lizzy' ist eng verbunden mit der Persönlichkeit des Sängers und Bassisten Phil Lynott. Mit seiner dunklen, weichen Stimme sang er von Außenseitern, Glücksrittern, aber auch vom Tanz im Mondlicht. Von Mitte der 70er bis Anfang der 80er Jahre reihte die Band zahlreiche Hits aneinander. Einige davon wie 'Dancing in the Moonlight', 'Still in Love With You' oder 'Rosalie' sind inzwischen Rockklassiker und auch auf dieser Thin-Lizzy-DVD 'The Thunder and Lightning Tour - The Last Filmed Live Performance' zu sehen und zu hören.

The Irish band 'Thin Lizzy', founded by the childhood friends, achieved a worldwide success right at the beginning of their career with the rocking interpretation of the traditional 'Whiskey in the Jar'. The rise of 'Thin Lizzy' is closely linked to the personality of singer and bassist Phil Lynott. With his dark, soft voice, he sang about outsiders, soldiers of fortune, but also about dancing in the moonlight. From the mid-70s to the early 80s, the band strung together numerous hits. Some of them like 'Dancing in the Moonlight', 'Still in Love With You' or 'Rosalie' are now rock classics and can also be seen and heard on this Thin Lizzy DVD 'The Thunder and Lightning Tour - The Last Filmed Live Performance'.
