Die schräge Kult-Sitcom aus Großbritannien: Sadie J (Georgia Lock) ist das einzige Mädchen in einer Jungswelt. Bislang war das auch kein Problem für die 13-Jährige. Papa Steve (Steve Speirs), ein Automechaniker, sein trotteliger Lehrling Keith (Alfie Stewart), ihr kleiner Bruder Danny (Will Nye) und der wuselige Hund Roger sind ja eigentlich ganz okay. Doch Sadie wird jetzt erwachsen und will endlich auch so behandelt werden. Diese Wandlung ist allerdings kein Sonntagsspaziergang, sondern eher eine Achterbahnfahrt der Gefühle. Wie gut, dass ihr dabei ihre beiden besten Freunde Kit (Ronan Carter), die männliche Drama-Queen, und die Science-Fiction-Kennerin Dede (Priyanka Patel) beistehen. Gemeinsam meistern die drei in ihrem Lieblingsdiner 'Y' so manches Desaster. Dass Erwachsenwerden derart kompliziert ist, hätte Sadie nun wirklich nicht erwartet.

Papa Steve (Steve Speirs), a car mechanic, his goofy apprentice Keith (Alfie Stewart), her little brother Danny (Will Nye) and the bustling dog Roger are actually quite okay. But Sadie is now growing up and finally wants to be treated as such. However, this transformation is not a Sunday walk, but rather a roller coaster ride of emotions. It's a good thing that her two best friends Kit (Ronan Carter), the male drama queen, and the science fiction connoisseur Dede (Priyanka Patel) are helping her. Together, the three master many a disaster in their favorite diner 'Y'. Sadie really didn't expect that growing up is so complicated.
