I really enjoyed this series as it gave historical insights into the plight of the Native Americans and the development of the Wild West. Being English, I did not know much about this before. I'm not sure how historically correct all the details are, but the general impression is good. There is a good balance between the points of view of the Native Americans and the settlers. The characters are well-developed and the huge cast includes many well-known actors and actresses - a revelation in some cases. The cinematography is magnificent. One can see why the settlers were willing to suffer so much hardship to get to and stay in the West. Highly recommended.

Boring and predictable. I saw only a few good gags in the first 60 minutes, so I stopped watching - it just wasn't worth my time. Very disappointing.

Judging by the other comments here, you love this film or hate it. I only watched the original English version and it was thoroughly enjoyable. It is about as politically incorrect as it is possible to be, but hilarious. There are a lot of non-verbal gags which really worked as well. Although I slated Will Ferrell's performance in Bewitched, he was spectacular here as the crazy German.

What a shame, Will Ferrell is completely miscast. His acting "talents" let the whole film down. If he had kept up with Nicole Kidman as the innocent, Marilyn Munroe-like figure and Michael Caine as her suave skirt-chasing Dad, the film could have been quite spectacular. Instead he was incredibly irritating and distracted from the others. There was zero chemistry between Nicole and Will. I think she must have realised she was a goner. Shirley Maclaine (my favourite actress) did not have a very big part, but she shone as always.

Full of suprises, nothing is what it seems. One of those films you have to see twice to follow all the plots lines, knowing what the ending is. Bruce is excellent as the ice-cold killer. Morgan and Sir Ben are intelligent bad guys with a sense of humour. Should be on everyone's list. One of the best films I've seen in a long time, it assumes that the viewer is intelligent.
