Darren Daniels (Matthew Rhys) has success with his TV show 'Corpse in the Basement', in which he presents and exposes celebrities. Even in his private life, he is not exactly the type that mothers want as a son-in-law. He likes to drink an extra glass or take a nose of coke and climb after every woman. So it's no wonder that he is also hit very badly when everything points to him being the perpetrator in a double murder. Someone obviously wants to take revenge on him, but who? There are many that come into question: his employee Joe Public (Danny Dyer), who wants to make a career, the producer Natascha Fox (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio), who feels under pressure because of the audience ratings, or the dubious Vince (John Hurt), who extorts money from Darren.
