Steve Hackett war eines der Originalmitglieder im klassischen 'Genesis' Line-up der Siebziger. Er stieß 1970 zur Band, sein komplexes und eindrucksvolles Gitarrenspiel war integraler Bestandteil von Erfolgsalben wie 'Foxtrot', 'The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway' und 'A Trick of the Tail'. Als 'Genesis' Mitglied veröffentlichte er 1975 sein erstes Soloalbum 'Voyage of the Acolyte' und konzentrierte sich dann ab 1977 komplett auf seine Solokarriere. Bis heute hat er 21 Soloscheiben veröffentlicht und darauf das gesamte Spektrum von Rock bis Klassik abgedeckt. Das hier auf DVD vorliegende Konzert wurde im April 2004 in Budapest während der Europa-Tournee aufgezeichnet, die Hacket im Anschluss an die Veröffentlichung von 'To Watch the Storms' absolvierte. Es verbindet Songs seiner langen Karriere inklusive der 'Genesis' Klassiker 'Blood on the Rooftops' und 'Firth of Fifth' mit frühem Solomaterial wie 'Ace of Wands' und 'Spectral Mornings' sowie neueren Stücken à la 'Mechanical Bride' und 'Darktown'. Der Abend endete passend mit dem alten 'Genesis' Finale 'Los Endos'.

Steve Hackett was one of the original members of the classic 'Genesis' line-up of the seventies. He joined the band in 1970, and his complex and impressive guitar playing was an integral part of successful albums such as 'Foxtrot', 'The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway' and 'A Trick of the Tail'. As a 'Genesis' member, he released his first solo album 'Voyage of the Acolyte' in 1975 and then concentrated completely on his solo career from 1977 onwards. To date, he has released 21 solo discs and covered the entire spectrum from rock to classical. The concert on DVD was recorded in Budapest in April 2004 during Hacket's European tour following the release of 'To Watch the Storms'. It combines songs from his long career, including the 'Genesis' classics 'Blood on the Rooftops' and 'Firth of Fifth', with early solo material such as 'Ace of Wands' and 'Spectral Mornings', as well as more recent pieces à la 'Mechanical Bride' and 'Darktown'. The evening ended fittingly with the old 'Genesis' finale 'Los Endos'.
