This is a great story.
I read the book as a child and I loved it. when I now watched the movie I was disappointed, probably much because technology and filming back in the 70s can not compare with todays. This film needs to be remade.

This movie was a complete waste of time. After having watched about half of it I turned it off. The woman did nothing but cry, every scene ended with a door closing..........what is this? Theater? Maybe if I had watched it in its original language (Italian) and not English,maybe the words would not sound so unnatural...
Anyway, I would not recommend this movie to anybody.
