Beim ersten Mal war ich beeindruckt, wie gut der Film durchgehend gruselig und unheimlich war und einen ständig in Atem hielt. Die Kreatureneffekte sind wirklich extrem furchteinflößend, und die Bilder werden, wenn man Glück hat, so manchen noch lange verfolgen. Ich habe das Spiel in völliger Dunkelheit und mit dem satten Bass meiner Stereoanlage, bei dem man die Schritte der Kreaturen förmlich spüren konnte, sehr genossen.

Unser Intro zeigt ein Trio alberner Highschool-Mädchen – allesamt Sportlerinnen –, die auf einem Roadtrip zu einem unheimlichen Ort unterwegs sind und dabei ihren Spaß haben. Dank der Kameraführung und des Sounddesigns wirkt der Ort absolut bedrohlich. Sie sind angekommen und beginnen ihr Erkundungs- und Besichtigungsabenteuer. Der Ort sieht nicht nur extrem gruselig aus, sondern verheißt auch nichts Gutes, und ich bin schon gespannt auf die kommenden Szenen.
Jetzt beginnt die paranormale Handlung mit einer der Figuren. Sie spürt und sieht erneut übernatürliche Aktivitäten, die sich über die drei Hauptfiguren hinaus ausbreiten. Die praktischen Effekte werden durch die schauspielerischen Leistungen unserer Darsteller verstärkt; selbst ohne die heutzutage so beliebten CGI-Effekte ist der Film ein hervorragender Beitrag zum J-Horror-Genre. Im weiteren Verlauf des Films geraten alle unsere Figuren in schreckliche Schwierigkeiten. Ich denke, es ist an der Zeit, dass uns die genaue Geschichte, Legende oder der Fluch, auf dem das Phänomen basiert, enthüllt wird, um zumindest eine von ihnen zu retten.

Fool Moon und Charles Band enttäuschen mit dem Filmintro nicht, und es deutet sich eine Art Kampf an. Ich wusste, dass Jeffrey Combs mitspielt, hatte aber keine Ahnung, dass auch Ashley Laurence in diesem verrückten 90er-Jahre-Film dabei sein würde.
Unser Kampf könnte gegen eine unheilige Macht gerichtet sein, und es wird auf typische Sci-Fi-Channel-Manier spannend. Noch besser ist, dass wir es nicht mit den üblichen Bösewichten zu tun haben.
Der Film erinnert an „Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight“, ist für manche vielleicht etwas langatmig, aber die immer wiederkehrenden Momente des Wahnsinns halten die Spannung aufrecht und sorgen für Unterhaltung. Ashley Laurence ist eine wunderschöne Erscheinung, und Jeffrey Combs' Schlagfertigkeit lässt mich einfach alles ansehen, in dem er mitspielt.

Von Lovecraft inspiriert...

Der Anfang unseres Films ist voller Intrigen und Spannung, und vor allem ein blutiges Spektakel für die Augen. Schon früh im Film herrschen Chaos und Terror, und es scheint, als wären alle ohne eine der Hauptfiguren in großer Gefahr.
Die Effekte des Chaos sind beeindruckend, und die Bilder in einer entscheidenden Szene sind schlichtweg fantastisch. Die Szene ist nun von purem Wahnsinn geprägt, und es ist schwer, sie zu beschreiben, ohne den Film zu verraten. Die Geschichte schließt sich in ihrem Aufbau, und sie wird von Minute zu Minute spannender.
Ein wirklich unterhaltsamer Action-Horrorfilm mit viel brutaler Gewalt für die breite Masse und zahlreichen Kreaturen für die Horror-/Science-Fiction-Fans unter uns.

Unsere Einleitung ist eine Art Einführung in unsere Hauptfigur und ihren Alltag. Plötzlich erhalten wir ein wunderschönes und zugleich unheilvolles Geschenk, begleitet von Bildern, die schwer zu beschreiben sind.

Das widerliche Verhalten einer unwürdigen Person und einige wahrhaft schöne, unheimliche Streiche.

Unerklärliche Dinge geschehen, doch sein Geschenk scheint im Mittelpunkt jedes seltsamen und doch wunderschönen Moments des Films zu stehen.

Wenn man könnte, würde man sich Gutes wünschen, ja sogar Böses.

Gleich zu Beginn unseres Films begegnen wir einigen wirklich schrägen Typen, die anscheinend Teil einer uralten kulturellen Tradition sind. Doch die Dinge geraten außer Kontrolle, falls sie überhaupt jemals die Kontrolle hatten, aber es sind nicht die Charaktere, die die Szene ausmachen, sondern vielmehr die praktischen Effekte.
Es scheint, als hätten wir es mit einer Gruppe junger Männer zu tun, im Grunde Gangstern und Schlägern, und inmitten dieses Chaos erleben wir auch das Erblühen junger Liebe und schöner Erinnerungen. Dieser Film ist total verrückt, ich meine, herrlich chaotisch und voller albernem Wahnsinn.
Nach all dem Unsinn haben wir schließlich genug, und die Bösewichte werden auf eine, gelinde gesagt, aufregende Weise zur Strecke gebracht. Dieser Film macht riesigen Spaß, ich hoffe nur, dass die Zuschauer nichts gegen Untertitel haben und den Film im Originalton genießen. Mir sind bisher keine synchronisierten Fassungen bekannt.

Wicked creepy intro, so much wrong with the scene, emotionally and physically. We have a situation we're dealing with as the story begins to develop, and I'm unsure of the status of a main character.
The atmosphere at the place is off and hard to describe, but off nonetheless.
This place just gets weirder and wider, and it now seems that something is truly off with the property that our characters are inhabiting at the moment.
This has turned into a nightmare scenario for our supporting characters, and it only seems to be getting worse moment by moment. Such an Absolutely, Horrorifically Beautiful story. Devastatingly Unique Film.

Not going to lie, started this film due to Teresa Palmer being in it. We open with heartache and familial suffering, and I'm not sure of the trains at this point.
We've a new female character, and she is a real pip, if I say so myself.
There is Evil song into the air this family breathes, it appears this is developing into a folklore tale. Vile wickedness is an understatement, such horrendous behavior. The needle pushed in and the mind waivers, is up still up or is it out and not even down.
Such a Deliciously Wicked Tale, Masterfully Executed, that Never slowed the story developing.

A bloody bizarre intro, so much slowly unfolding, and yet leaving more questions right off the bat. We've a new member to our household, everything seems to be going mad and maybe she came help.
Unsure of the sequence of episodes that are happening, but there is something off in the household.
The sheer brutality of the truth, the loss and pain are, and should be unimaginably painful.

Appears we have a young (really cute) couple out for an adventure, but we find ourselves in car trouble. Yay, we've met another young couple on our adventure and it appears as though they've made a connection.
It's getting exciting as we've another couple joining the fun, time for some festivities and skins like silliness. They're our in the beautiful woodlands, and it's remarkably isolated. It looks as if they are being observed, they've spotted a figure in the woods.
Things have gotten weird and a feeling of unease is spreading through them all, and a catastrophic accident has happened. Panic is setting in, as night envelopes them once again. Something foul is afoot, and the danger has reached a terrifyingly critical point for our young couples.
This was a surprisingly fun Found Footage film, it felt plausible than most out there, adjuvant require you to believe that the absolute worst villains find the absolute inept victims.

What a Heinous opening act, such an Evil act off the bat, which can only mean the possibility of more Ferocious acts later. Our main characters are quite young, and they're easy prey for those who would do wrong to young people. The Suspense is ramping up, and 1 of our characters is proving to be rather Brave and possibly beyond Desperate at this point in the film.
Our character is proving to be Resourceful and showing rather impressive calm in the situation at hand. Such a Horrible hand they've been dealt, and we hope that they find the strength to Survive and overcome the Evil. This movie plays with your emotions and leaves you with a heavy heavy heart...
