Oliver (Mike Zobrys) und Sandra Martin (Susanne Scherbel) finden es tierisch gut, als eines Tages ein junger Schimpanse bei ihnen auftaucht. So etwas gab es selbst bei den Martins noch nicht, obwohl bei der Tierarztfamilie ständig irgendein putziger Kostgänger einquartiert ist. Als sich die Eltern der Kids bereit erklären, den heimatlosen Affen aufzunehmen, herrscht allgemeine Begeisterung: Charly wird von den Geschwistern kurzerhand adoptiert. Schon bald wird der beschauliche Alltag im Hause der Martins kräftig aufgemischt.

Oliver (Mike Zobrys) and Sandra Martin (Susanne Scherbel) think it's really good when a young chimpanzee shows up at their home one day. There has never been anything like this even with the Martins, although the veterinarian family always has some cute boarder accommodated. When the parents of the kids agree to take in the homeless monkey, there is general enthusiasm: Charly is adopted by the siblings without further ado. Soon, the tranquil everyday life in the Martins' house is shaken up.
