Als im Juni 2003 die erste Single 'All Rise' von Anthony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan und Simon Webbe, besser bekannt als 'Blue', veröffentlicht wurde, hätten die vier Jungs sicher nicht zu träumen gewagt, welche Erfolge sie nach gerade mal drei Jahren vorweisen können. In dieser Zeit kamen drei Alben von 'Blue' mit insgesamt 11 Singles heraus, die sich alle in den deutschen Singlecharts platzieren konnten. Davon drei Nummern in den Top 10 ('Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word', 'U Make Me Wanna' und 'Breathe Easy') sowie drei weitere Nummern in den Top 20 ('All Rise', 'Guilty' und 'Bubblin'). Eine beeindruckende Historie und so ist es an der Zeit, Zwischenbilanz bei einer der erfolgreichsten Bands Europas des neuen Jahrtausends zu ziehen (nach weltweit über 11 Millionen verkaufter Tonträger, davon über 1 Million in Deutschland). Die erste Singleauskopplung aus 'Best of Blue' wird 'Curtain Falls' sein. Ein Song, der auf dem musikalischen Thema von Stevie Wonders 'Pastime Paradise' (aus dem legendären Album 'Songs In The Key Of Life' aus dem Jahre 1976) aufbaut, welches 1995 schon Coolio für seinen Welthit 'Gangsta's Paradise' (Nummer 1 in Deutschland, England und den USA) verwendet hat. Auf dem Album sind natürlich neben der neuen Single alle bisher veröffentlichten Singles enthalten. Neben diesen dann zwölf Hits ist mit 'Love At First Sight' ein weiterer neuer Song auf dem Album vertreten und mit 'Get Down On It' auch die Kollaboration mit Kool & the Gang und Lil' Kim.

During this time, three albums of 'Blue' were released with a total of 11 singles, all of which were able to place in the German single charts. Of these, three numbers in the Top 10 ('Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word', 'U Make Me Want to' and 'Breathe Easy') and three more numbers in the Top 20 ('All Rise', 'Guilty' and 'Bubblin'). An impressive history and so it is time to take stock of one of the most successful bands in Europe of the new millennium (after over 11 million records sold worldwide, over 1 million of them in Germany). The first single from 'Best of Blue' will be 'Curtain Falls'. A song that builds on the musical theme of Stevie Wonder's 'Pastime Paradise' (from the legendary album 'Songs In The Key Of Life' from 1976), which Coolio already used in 1995 for his world hit 'Gangsta's Paradise' (number 1 in Germany, England and the USA). Of course, the album contains all previously released singles in addition to the new single. In addition to these twelve hits, another new song is represented on the album with 'Love At First Sight' and with 'Get Down On It' also the collaboration with Kool & the Gang and Lil' Kim.
