Seit drei Jahrzehnten genießt Jonathan Richman bei den Einsamen, Missverstandenen, Sentimentalen und Romantikern unter uns Kultstatus. Dieses Konzert wurde im Dezember 2002 in 'The Great American Music Hall' in San Francisco aufgenommen. Präsentiert werden insgesamt 18 Songs, von denen sieben von seinem 2001er Album 'Her Mystery' sind. Andere Songs wie 'Pablo Picasso' und 'Girlfriend' stammen noch aus seiner Zeit mit den 'Modern Lovers' und auch diverses neues Material wird dargeboten. Mit dem Song 'Let Her Go Into the Darkness' aus dem Soundtrack des Farrelly-Brothers-Films 'Verrückt nach Mary' startet die DVD mit einem echten Highlight. Als Special gibt's dann noch zwei witzige Personal-Home-Interviews mit Jonathan Richman, die diese DVD gelungen abrunden.

For three decades, Jonathan Richman has enjoyed cult status among the lonely, misunderstood, sentimental and romantic among us. This concert was recorded in December 2002 at 'The Great American Music Hall' in San Francisco. A total of 18 songs will be presented, seven of which are from his 2001 album 'Her Mystery'. Other songs such as 'Pablo Picasso' and 'Girlfriend' are from his time with the 'Modern Lovers' and various new material is also presented. With the song 'Let Her Go Into the Darkness' from the soundtrack of the Farrelly Brothers film 'Crazy about Mary', the DVD starts with a real highlight. As a special, there are two funny personal home interviews with Jonathan Richman, which round off this DVD successfully.
